"JK Tyre commissions Phase III expansion at its Banmore plant to meet rising demand for passenger car radials."

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd recently inaugurated Phase III of capacity expansion and modernisation at its passenger car radial (PCR) manufacturing facility in Banmore, Madhya Pradesh.

With the commissioning of Phase III, part of the company’s multi-phase investment programme of over ₹1,000 crore at the Banmore plant, production capacity has increased to 30,000 passenger car radial tyres per day, or about 10.5 million tyres annually. The expansion underscores JK Tyre’s long-term commitment to domestic manufacturing and to supporting India’s growing passenger vehicle market.

The expanded facility was inaugurated by Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, in the presence of Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director, and Anshuman Singhania, Managing Director, JK Tyre.
