Karnataka clears 3 projects worth Rs. 18,042 cr.
The Karnataka government at the 42nd state high level clearance committee meeting has approved three new projects at a total investment outlay of Rs. 18,042.20 crore.
The new projects are to generate employment for about 8,757 people. The meeting was attended by Cabinet ministers, the Chief Secretary, and other senior officers.
Minera Steel is to put up 0.5 mtpa integrated steel plant with a 35 MW captive power plant at Yerabanahalli village in Sandur taluk of Bellary district at an investment of Rs. 1,889.30 crore and would offer employment to 525 people.
Wadi Cement Company is to construct a 2.5 MTPA clinker and Portland cement plant and other similar materials plant at Konchur in Chittapur taluk of Gulbarga district at an investment of Rs. 1352.90 cr. It would offer employment o 232 people.
Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation is to build 2000 MW solar parks at Balasamudra, Tirumani, Kyataganacharlu, Vallur and Rayacharlu villages of Pavagada taluk in Tumkur district at an investment of Rs. 14,800 crore, offering employment to 8,000 people.
