KP Energy Secures PPA From GUVNL for 100-MW Wind Project.

KP Energy Ltd recently said it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for the development of a 100-MW grid-connected wind power project in Gujarat.

The agreement follows the letter of intent issued by GUVNL on March 30, 2026, after KP Energy emerged successful in the utility's Wind Tender Phase X conducted through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.

The company said the tariff and the PPA have since received approval from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), paving the way for implementation of the project.

The latest order takes KP Energy's independent power producer (IPP) portfolio beyond 250 MW, strengthening its presence in the renewable energy sector.

It takes our IPP portfolio past the 250 MW mark and reflects the confidence that India's leading power utilities continue to place in us. The project is part of GUVNL's efforts to add renewable energy capacity through competitive bidding and supports Gujarat's ongoing expansion of wind power generation.
