KPIL Wins ₹4,000-Crore-Plus UAE Gas Pipeline EPC Project, Expands Middle East Footprint

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) has secured a major engineering, procurement and construction contract for a gas pipeline project in the United Arab Emirates, strengthening the Indian infrastructure company’s presence in the Middle East’s oil and gas sector.

The company said on September 28 that it had received a Letter of Award (LoA) for the EPC project. Under KPIL’s internal project classification, a “Major” project carries a value of more than ₹4,000 crore.

The new contract marks another significant international win for KPIL and reinforces its growing oil and gas EPC portfolio across the Gulf region. The company is already executing projects in markets including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE, according to its FY2025-26 annual report.

KPIL Managing Director and CEO Manish Mohnot said the award reflects the company’s technical expertise, execution capabilities and established track record in the global oil and gas sector.

The UAE contract follows a series of recent order wins for KPIL. Just days earlier, the company announced new orders and notifications of awards worth about ₹2,025 crore across its power transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, and oil and gas businesses. Those wins had taken KPIL’s FY27 order intake to ₹13,219 crore as of September 24.

KPIL is also favourably placed or ranked as the lowest bidder for additional orders exceeding ₹12,000 crore, providing further visibility for its project pipeline.

The latest UAE gas pipeline award is strategically important as Gulf economies continue to invest heavily in energy infrastructure, gas transportation and associated EPC projects.

For KPIL, the contract further diversifies its international order book and strengthens its position as an Indian EPC contractor capable of executing large-scale energy infrastructure projects overseas.

Apart from oil and gas pipelines, KPIL operates across power transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, roads and bridges, water infrastructure and railways, giving the company a broad presence across infrastructure markets in India and internationally.
