large infrastructure projects progressing behind the schedule : Govt

ET reported that , as many as 234 large infrastructure projects, including those of roads, power and petroleum, are running behind schedule, the government has said.

Out of the 566 infrastructure projects (Rs 150 crore and above) which are being monitored by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI), there were 234 delayed projects.

Of the delayed projects, as many as 90 belong to the road transport and highways sector,

There are 45 delayed project in the power sector and 30 in the petroleum sector.

Of the total 48 coal projects, 17 are delayed, Similarly, 26 railway projects and 12 shipping and ports sector projects have been delayed.
