L&T Secures Record ₹15,000 Crore Order from QatarEnergy LNG.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won its largest-ever contract, an ultra-mega order worth ₹15,000 crore from QatarEnergy LNG for the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project.

The contract involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of two offshore compression complexes. These will include large offshore platforms equipped with compression and power generation facilities, living quarters, flare platforms, interconnected bridges, and other related structures. The project site is located 80 km off the northeast coast of Qatar.

“This ultra-mega offshore contract is the largest single order in L&T’s history and a landmark achievement. It strengthens our global energy portfolio while supporting Qatar’s energy security objectives. We look forward to setting new benchmarks in project execution that will reinforce Qatar’s position as a global LNG leader,” said S.N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director, L&T.

L&T’s international orders accounted for more than half of its total inflows for the December quarter and represent 42% of its outstanding order book.

Analysts at Axis Capital noted that L&T is likely to exceed its FY25 consolidated order inflow guidance of 10% YoY growth. With disclosed orders of approximately ₹350 billion for Q4 FY25, including the Qatar contract, L&T is well-positioned to surpass the estimated ₹600 billion core order inflow for the quarter.
