Maharashtra Clears ₹1,722-Crore Connector Linking Sea Link and Savarkar Memorial.

The Maharashtra cabinet's sub-committee on infrastructure has approved a ₹1,722.40 crore project to construct a 3.55-km road connecting the Bandra Fort end of the Versova-Bandra Sea Link (VBSL) with the Savarkar Sea Bridge, officials said on Friday.

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) will implement the project, according to an official release.

The approval was granted by the sub-committee, chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, during its meeting on Thursday. The decision followed clearance by a committee of secretaries headed by the Chief Secretary, which approved the proposal on June 17.

The new road is expected to improve connectivity between the Versova-Bandra Sea Link and the Savarkar Sea Bridge, easing traffic movement and strengthening Mumbai's coastal road network.
