Medical Devices Park soon.

Telangana Government would make a big leap when it launched the Telangana Medical Devices Park on June 17, said Minister for Information Technology, K.T. Rama Rao recently.

Proposed as a dedicated eco-system for MedTech innovation and manufacturing, the park would come up in Sultanpur village of Patancheru mandal of Sangareddy district, he said. The first-of-its-kind park in the country would have the advantage of having a holistic ecosystem in terms of research facilities, engineering and medical talent.

, connect between research and medical ecosystem, manufacturing infrastructure and a strong local market, supply chain and connectivity to global marketes.

The highlights of the park that is spread over 250 acres, include close proximity to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, facilities to support innovation, research and development and industrial scale manufacturing, dedicated support ecosystem in terms of warehousing and logistics, electricity and water, waste management.

Mr. Rama Rao said Government would follow a three-pronged approach -promoting India specific innovation through incubation, setting up a seed fund and having manufacturing infrastructure and common facilities. Also, ready-made plug and play units for med-tech small and medium enterprises would be made available, he said.
