Naveen Jindal Group Shortlists Nine States for Proposed 18 GW Nuclear Projects.

Naveen Jindal Group is exploring multiple locations across at least nine states, including Gujarat and Odisha, to develop large-scale nuclear power projects as part of its long-term energy diversification strategy.

The conglomerate is evaluating sites for an ambitious 18 GW nuclear power portfolio, which is expected to involve investments running into lakhs of crores. The planned projects are intended to support the Centre's target of building 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by 2047.

In parallel, the group is in discussions with multiple domestic and international players to explore partnerships for access to nuclear power technologies, a move aimed at strengthening its capabilities in the sector.

The proposed expansion marks a significant step in the group's diversification into clean energy, as it seeks to establish a presence in India's emerging private nuclear power ecosystem while contributing to the country's long-term energy security and decarbonisation goals.
