Navi Mumbai Airport to Commence Operations in March 2025: MoS Murlidhar Mohol.

On Saturday, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol announced that the Navi Mumbai International Airport is set to commence operations in March 2025. Alongside Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Mohol visited the site to review ongoing progress. Highlighting its international standards and expected annual footfall of nearly 20 million passengers, Mohol stated the airport will enhance connectivity with Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Kalyan, and western Maharashtra. He also expressed support for naming the airport after late PWP leader DB Patil and assured that compensation issues for project-affected persons would be resolved. Mohol emphasized the government's commitment to avoiding displacement of land contributors and acknowledged Prime Minister Modi's support for Maharashtra's development initiatives. Additionally, he commented on the Mahayuti alliance's recent victory in the Maharashtra council elections and urged the Congress to address its internal challenges.
