NuPower Renewables commissions 30-MW wind project in Maharashtra.

NuPower Renewables recently said it has commissioned 30-MW wind power project in Maharashtra.

The project is built from end to end, on a self development basis with 2.05 MW wind turbines manufactured by NuPower with advanced German technology from Wind-to-Energy (W2E), the company said in a statement.

'To contribute to the energy security of India and combat climate change, NuPower shall actively participate towards achieving India's target of 16,0000 MW of wind and solar power by 2022,' company's Founder CEO Deepak Kochhar said.

NuPower has nearly 700 MW of renewable energy assets operating and in pipeline located across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The company also owns and operates a 100-MW wind power project in Tamil Nadu.

NuPower is also engaged in procurement and development of land, erection and commissioning of wind turbines, operations and maintenance, project finance and liasoning with utilities and government authorities.
