"Odisha Govt Approves Industrial Projects Worth ₹32,736 Crore"

Ahead of the Utkarsh Odisha - Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, set to begin on January 28, the Odisha government has approved several industrial projects with an estimated investment of ₹32,736 crore. The projects, approved during the 39th High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting on Friday, span across various sectors, including chemicals, green energy equipment, shipbuilding & repair, and steel.

These transformative projects are expected to generate employment for over 18,688 individuals, strengthening Odisha's industrial and economic foundation. The state government highlighted that this is the second HLCA meeting held in January, ahead of the highly anticipated Utkarsh Odisha 2025 conclave.

The approval of these projects follows successful roadshows held by the Odisha government in Delhi, Mumbai, and Singapore, which have attracted significant investor interest. Several companies are now looking to invest in the state, signaling growing confidence in Odisha's industrial potential.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed, "The approval of these major projects before Utkarsh Odisha 2025 reflects our state's growing industrial strength. These investments will generate thousands of jobs and directly benefit the people of Odisha. We are focused on ensuring Odisha remains a top investment destination, driving progress and prosperity."

The approved projects will be spread across key districts such as Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Sambalpur, and Bhadrak, further fortifying Odisha's industrial landscape.

The state government will host the two-day Utkarsh Odisha 2025 conclave in Bhubaneswar on January 28-29, with the goal of attracting global investors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the event on January 28.

The conclave will focus on five key sectors: IT, renewable energy, textiles, chemicals, and food processing. Twelve countries, including Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Germany, Poland, and Cuba, have been invited as 'Countries of Focus' to participate.
