Paras Health Targets Over 2,300 Beds in North India by FY25

Paras Health, a prominent hospital chain focused on North India, recently announced its plan to open a 300-bed hospital in Gurugram, Haryana. This will be the second hospital for the chain in the Delhi NCR region and its ninth overall. According to sources familiar with the development, the total project cost for the new hospital will be around ₹250 crore, with completion expected by 2026.

The hospital chain's official statement revealed that the new Gurugram facility will help expand its existing capacity in the region while focusing on key specializations, including oncology, gastroenterology, neurosciences, cardiac sciences, orthopedics, and transplant programs. Paras Health currently operates eight hospitals in Northern India, with approximately 2,000 beds across locations in Gurugram, Patna, Panchkula, Kanpur, Ranchi, Udaipur, Srinagar, and Darbhanga.

With this new addition in Gurugram, Paras Health aims to operate over 2,300 beds in North India by the end of FY 2025. This expansion aligns with the hospital chain's proposed ₹1,000 crore initial public offering (IPO), indicating a significant push toward growth and capacity enhancement.

Paras Health's new hospital in Gurugram is expected to feature advanced medical technology, including robotics and navigation systems, catering to both international and domestic patients. Dharminder Kumar Nagar, Managing Director of Paras Health, highlighted the hospital's goal to deepen its service profile by adding organ transplant programs like lung and liver transplants, complementing its existing kidney and bone marrow transplant programs.

"By adding capacity, bringing more specialties, facilities, and enhancing capabilities in cancer care, the company is poised to meet the healthcare needs of Gurugram," Nagar stated.

The hospital chain's recent expansion includes the launch of its Kanpur facility, which can be scaled to over 400 beds once fully operational. This continued growth demonstrates Paras Health's commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services in North India and meeting the growing demand for advanced medical care in the region.
