PM Modi to Unveil ₹12,200 Crore Worth of Development Projects in Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several major development projects worth over ₹12,200 crore in Delhi on Sunday, January 5. The event will commence at 12:15 pm, according to a press release from the Prime Minister's Office.

The Prime Minister will also embark on a ride aboard the Namo Bharat Train at 11:15 am, traveling from Sahibabad RRTS Station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station.

A key highlight of the day will be the inauguration of the 13 km stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar, a project worth around ₹4,600 crore. This will mark the launch of Delhi's first Namo Bharat connectivity, significantly easing travel between Delhi and Meerut and benefiting millions with high-speed, safe, and reliable transportation.

PM Modi will also inaugurate a 2.8 km stretch between Janakpuri and Krishna Park as part of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, valued at approximately ₹1,200 crore. This will be the first stretch of Phase-IV to be completed and will greatly benefit areas in West Delhi, including Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for the 26.5 km Rithala-Kundli section of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, worth around ₹6,230 crore. This corridor will link Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, improving connectivity for areas like Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and Kundli, and facilitating travel across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh through an extended Red Line.

In another significant step, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the new building of the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini, New Delhi, with an estimated cost of ₹185 crore. The state-of-the-art campus will house various medical and administrative facilities, providing integrated healthcare services and fostering research in the field of Ayurveda.

These development initiatives are aimed at strengthening regional connectivity, improving infrastructure, and enhancing healthcare and research facilities in the capital.
