POWERGRID Declared Successful Bidder Under TBCB.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been declared the successful bidder under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process for the establishment of an Inter-State Transmission System for the "Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from Rajasthan REZ Ph-IV (Part-4: 3.5 GW): Part A" project. The Letter of Intent (LoI) for the project was issued to POWERGRID on November 25, 2024.

The project involves setting up a 765/400kV substation at a strategic location near Ghiror, Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh, along with the construction of 765kV and 400kV transmission lines spanning across Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, the project will include augmentation and bay extension works at both under-construction and existing substations in these states. POWERGRID will undertake the project on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
