Project report on Mekedatu to be ready in four months.

Water Resources Minister M.B. Patil, recetly said the detailed project report (DPR) on Mekedatu Drinking Water Project will be ready in the next four months.

He was speaking to presspersons on the sidelines of a programme organised to confer the Basavashree award on lexicographer G. Venkatasubbaiah.

The Minister said three agencies have been shortlisted to prepare the project report.

Dubbing Tamil Nadu government's opposition for the project as a strategy for the coming Assembly polls, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar said all the MPs of Karnataka will thwart any attempt by the neighbouring State to stall the project.
