PVR and INOX Unveil New Multiplexes: 6 Screens in Mumbai, 4 Screens in Bhubaneswar

PVR INOX, India's premier cinema exhibitor, has achieved a significant milestone by unveiling two new multiplexes, adding a total of 10 screens to its extensive network. The company strategically opened a 6-screen multiplex in Mumbai and a 4-screen multiplex in Bhubaneswar today, aligning with its expansion strategy to tap into new demographics in key markets.

The newly launched Maison INOX in Mumbai stands as a luxurious boutique property at Jio World Centre, located in the bustling central business district of Bandra Kurla Complex. This 6-screen cinema, with a seating capacity of 790, includes 2 Insignia screens, 1 IMAX screen, and 3 regular screens. Offering a bespoke entertainment experience, Maison INOX boasts cutting-edge technology, featuring a 4K Laser Projection System, Dolby Atmos Surround Sound, and Next-Gen 3D Screens. With a presence in 15 cities across Maharashtra, PVR INOX now commands a screen portfolio of 260 screens in 53 properties in the state.

In Bhubaneswar, the 4-screen multiplex situated at Utkal Kanika Galleria Mall marks the city's first cinema to feature all 4K Laser screens. With a total seating capacity of 682, the cinema provides a comfortable and immersive movie-watching experience, equipped with plush last row recliners and state-of-the-art theatrical solutions, including 4K Laser projection, Dolby 7.1 immersive audio, and Next-Gen 3D screens. In Odisha, PVR INOX expands its footprint with a presence in cities like Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Rourkela, boasting a screen portfolio of 29 screens in 7 properties.

Ajay Bijli, Managing Director of PVR INOX Limited, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, "Right at the start of the festive season with a robust content lineup, we are proud to open 10 screens in two different regions of our country with their unique set of audiences. PVR INOX strives to develop cinemas as social spaces and ideal out-of-home entertainment destinations with a view to make them more experiential and immersive to meet the growing aspirations of consumers with their unique movie-going preferences."

Maison INOX in Mumbai offers guests a luxurious experience in Insignia auditoriums with top-tier screening and sound systems, plush leather recliner seats featuring micro-adjustable neckrests, butler-on-call services, and a fine dining experience within the theatre. Additionally, guests can indulge in a larger-than-life movie-watching experience in IMAX with Laser.

Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Executive Director of PVR INOX Limited, commented on the expansion, saying, "We are delighted to announce the launch of 2 new properties in the West and Eastern regions of our country. Lack of out-of-home entertainment options in India and the increasing number of malls are aiding the footprint of multiplexes, and PVR INOX is expanding its multiplex presence in these malls to provide more options to consumers to watch movies on the big screen."
