REHAU Boosts Manufacturing at Sri City, Expands Red Star Polymers Capacity.

Germany-based Rehau, a global leader in polymer-based solutions, is set to significantly increase the manufacturing capacity of its subsidiary, Red Star Polymers Pvt Ltd, located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.

The company announced on Saturday the acquisition of 1.05 acres of industrial land immediately adjacent to the current Red Star Polymers facility. This strategic land acquisition, secured through a 99-year lease agreement, signals Rehau's next phase of manufacturing expansion within the Indian market.

The primary objective of this expansion is to enhance the production capacity of Red Star Polymers. Rehau had acquired a 51 percent stake in the Indian company, which specializes in PVC edgebands, last year.

While a company statement confirmed the capacity ramp-up is underway, specific details regarding the total investment amount and the projected increase in manufacturing capacity were not disclosed at this time. The expansion is expected to help Rehau meet the growing demand for its products in India and further strengthen its market presence in the region.
