Road beautification work to begin soon.

The work on the beautification of 1.5-kilometre road at Panampilly Nagar up to Sastri Nagar Kairali Apartment will begin on Monday. N. Venugopal, chairman, Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA), said in a statement that the 9 metre-wide road would have a green strip, pedestrian pavement and cycle path.

KMRL support

The work, with the support from the Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), is expected to be over in two months.

The design provided by the KMRL was approved by the GCDA. The work is expected to remove all encroachments on the road.
