Rs. 101 Cr Project Plans Approved.

The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) recently accorded in principle approval to the investment proposals worth Rs. 101 crore.

The proposal of Himadri Chemicals and Industries Limited to set up coal tar pitch manufacturing unit at Kenghati in Sambalpur district with an investment of around Rs. 56.63 crore was approved at a meeting of the SLSWCA here.

The meeting chaired by Chief Secretary GC Pati also approved the proposal of city-based Nandini Real Infra Limited to set up a steel slag recycling unit at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur district with an investment of around Rs. 55 crore. The approval is subject to compliance of statutory and regulatory requirements.

The two units will provide employment opportunities to at least 174 persons, official sources said.

The Chief Secretary advised the industries to make adequate technical arrangements for rain water harvesting and recharge of ground water.

The Odisha State Pollution Control Board has also been advised to enforce compliance to pollution norms, treatment of industrial wastes and zero discharge trough recycling and reuse.
