RVNL Signs MoU with Goa Govt to Explore and Develop Infrastructure Projects.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Goa to collaborate on the development and implementation of infrastructure projects in the state.

In a regulatory filing, RVNL said the partnership will enable both sides to identify and undertake infrastructure projects based on mutually agreed terms and conditions. The company will act as the project execution agency for initiatives taken up under the collaboration.

The agreement is aimed at supporting the planning and execution of infrastructure projects in Goa by leveraging RVNL’s expertise in project management and implementation. The company did not disclose the financial details or timelines associated with the proposed projects.

The development comes as RVNL continues to expand its project portfolio across rail and allied infrastructure segments. In recent months, the company has secured several contracts, including a ₹2,977-crore order from NMDC for the development of a buffer stockyard and blending facility in Visakhapatnam, and a ₹221-crore EPC contract from South East Central Railway for signalling and telecommunication works.

RVNL has also awarded a ₹263-crore rail electrification contract for the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line in Uttarakhand to Siemens.

The company, which executes infrastructure projects for Indian Railways and other sectors, currently contributes to around 30% of the infrastructure requirements of Indian Railways. It has diversified into areas such as roads, ports, irrigation and metro projects, many of which have links with railway infrastructure.
