RVNL Taps Provigil for ₹85 Crore Surveillance Upgrade at Southern Railway Stations.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has awarded a contract worth approximately ₹85 crore to Provigil Surveillance Limited to deploy advanced video surveillance systems across Southern Railway. Provigil is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Magellanic Cloud Limited.

The project will cover 441 stations categorized as D and E, with additional upgrades planned for 43 major stations in categories A1, A, and B. The new surveillance infrastructure will incorporate AI-enabled systems, which are designed to improve passenger safety and security while ensuring strict cybersecurity compliance.

This latest win for Provigil follows other significant contract awards, including a ₹32 crore Letter of Acceptance from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and a ₹2.25 crore contract from South Central Railway for similar AI-based video surveillance projects. The total value of these recent projects for the company stands at ₹119.25 crore.
