Schneider Electric, a prominent global player in energy management and automation, has inaugurated a new cooling factory in Bengaluru following an investment of Rs. 100 crore. The factory, officially launched on Thursday, underscores the company's commitment to technological advancement and its vision for an Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

The Bengaluru cooling factory, sprawling across approximately 6.5 acres, is strategically positioned to address the surging demand for innovative cooling solutions, particularly in the burgeoning data center ecosystem within the country. Schneider Electric has announced plans to invest Rs 3,200 crore in India by 2026, aiming to expand its footprint nationwide.

Deepak Sharma, Zone President Greater India, Managing Director, and CEO of Schneider Electric India, highlighted the significance of the new manufacturing facility in advancing the company's commitment to India's self-reliance vision. Sharma emphasized the factory's role in technological innovation and economic growth, stressing its potential to generate employment opportunities in Karnataka and contribute to the local economy.

The factory is poised to export 85% of its manufactured products, with a predominant focus on serving the data center segment alongside buildings, industry, and infrastructure. Fully owned by Schneider Electric, the facility is positioned as a vital component of the company's global supply chain.

Schneider Electric outlined that the factory is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, specializing in the production of cooling products and solutions tailored for data centers, telecom, commercial, and industrial applications, catering to both domestic and international markets.

The primary focus of the factory will be on manufacturing the latest generation of row cooling systems, high-efficiency chillers, and other precision air conditioning systems, aligning with Schneider Electric's commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to its customers.
