Second unit of Koderma Thermal Power Station goes on stream.

The 500 MW second unit of the Koderma Thermal Power Station (KTPS) of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) was made operational at 12 midnight on June 14.

With the second unit becoming operational, the total power generation capacity has gone up to 6,357.2 MW.

DVC currently has six thermal power stations and three hydel power stations.
