SECR Begins Trial Runs on Abhanpur-Rajim Line, Issues Public Caution.

The South East Central Railway (SECR) Raipur Division has commenced trial runs on the newly constructed broad gauge railway line between Abhanpur and Rajim. The trial runs, which began on Thursday, are being conducted to test and inspect the new infrastructure.

As high-speed trains operate on this route for testing purposes, SECR has urged the public to maintain a safe distance from the railway tracks and exercise caution at level crossings. The railway authorities have emphasized that pedestrians and vehicles should cross only when no train is approaching. The trial runs will continue for the next two to three days.

SECR has also issued strict warnings against trespassing on platforms, unauthorized crossings, sitting on the railway tracks, and grazing animals near the tracks. Violators may face legal action under the Railway Act, as such actions pose serious safety risks.

The newly constructed Abhanpur-Rajim railway line is expected to significantly improve travel time and connectivity in the region, enhancing transportation options for passengers and freight services.
