Siemens bags order worth Rs. 81 cr.

Siemens Ltd. recently said it has bagged an order worth Rs. 81 crore from Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), Varanasi.

'Siemens Ltd. has won a crucial order approximately worth Rs. 81 crore from Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), Varanasi,' the company said in a press release.

The scope of work for the project includes supply and supervision for installation and commissioning of AC-AC traction systems, including Locomotive Controller for Diesel Electric Locomotives, the statement added.

Siemens focuses on electrification, automation and digitalisation. It is one of the leading producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies, combined cycle turbines for power generation, and power transmission solutions.
