Smart City task forces for Ajmer, Allahabad, Vizag set up.

The Ministry of Urban Development has set up city-wise Task Forces for drawing up concrete action plans for the development of Ajmer, Allahabad and Visakhapatnam as smart cities, an official statement said recently.

The task forces have representatives of the Ministries of Urban Development and External Affairs, the respective state governments and cities and the United States Trade Development Agency, it added.

During the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the US and the strategic and commercial dialogue with President Barack Obama, the US had offered assistance in the development of these smart cities.
