Sona Group Invests ₹150 Crore to Set Up Advanced Learning Centre, Targeting 15,000 GCC-Ready Professionals.

Sona Valliappa Group has launched the Sona Centre for Advanced Learning & Entrepreneurship (SCALE), a new integrated campus designed to bring together companies and academic institutions to promote skilling, innovation and entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to build future-ready talent aligned with emerging industries and the evolving requirements of Global Capability Centres (GCCs).

Speaking exclusively to businessline, Thyaagu Valliappa, Founder of SCALE, said the centre seeks to bridge the industry–academia gap through hands-on learning in advanced “hot labs”, direct exposure to industry leadership and deep engagement with corporates. He added that the institute is backed by more than 50 memoranda of understanding and 15 Centres of Excellence established in collaboration with global brands, industry partners and government stakeholders.

As part of its outreach, SCALE has tied up with the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and plans to work closely with the Government of Karnataka to upskill over 3,000 young engineers across the State.
