Speed up works on projects: CM.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the officials of the Irrigation Department to speed up works on the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy and Kaleshwaram lift irrigation projects since all administrative formalities are over.

At a review meeting held recently, he directed Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao to respond and resolve any problem related to the project as and whey they arose.

He asked Finance Minister E. Rajender and Karimnagar District Collector Neetu Prasad to take the responsibility of land acquisition for reservoirs to be constructed in the district as part of the Kaleshwaram project.

He told the officials to have the target of lifting water from Medigadda to Mid Manair dam in the next 16 months without waiting for completion of the barrage there. He wanted the officials to give priority to rehabilitation and compensation to families that were likely to be displaced by project works.
