State Govt to Formulate Integrated Development Plan for Bhubaneswar
The development initiative also includes a proposed 64-km inner ring road for Bhubaneswar, featuring a six-lane road connecting Tamando to Paikarapur and Dhauli to Tamando, and a 148-km outer ring road project, estimated at a cost of Rs. 6,152 crore.
"The outer ring road project will be a game-changer for Bhubaneswar's urban development. It will significantly improve connectivity and promote tourism in the region," a govt statement read.
The CM also reviewed the progress of ongoing projects, including the completed road between Damana Square and Press Square and the under-construction road between Sundarpada and Jatni. He directed the officials to expedite the preparation of detailed project reports for pending works.
In a significant development for religious tourism, the meeting approved Rs 214 crore for the development and beautification of the Maa Tarini Temple in Keonjhar. Majhi emphasised the importance of the timely completion of the project during the meeting.
The meeting also discussed plans for a grand peripheral ring road, with its first phase covering 287 km from Berhampur to Jeypore, including four tunnels. Other projects reviewed included the Badabil Ring Road and the development of Unit II market area here.
