Switch Mobility Eyes 10,000 EVs, Bets on UAE Hub for Global Push.

Switch Mobility, the electric vehicle arm of Ashok Leyland, is aiming to double its fleet to around 10,000 vehicles over the next two years as it scales up global operations and moves towards a more self-sustained business model.

The company currently has more than 5,000 electric vehicles on the road and is building a strong pipeline, with an order book estimated at about ₹1,500 crore, offering medium-term revenue visibility.

A central element of its next growth phase is international expansion, supported by a new manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah. The plant is designed with an annual production capacity of up to 10,000 buses for the broader group and is expected to cater to demand across the GCC, Africa and Europe.

With this strategy, Switch Mobility is positioning itself to strengthen its global footprint while enhancing operational scale and efficiency.
