Tata Power, EWP team up for O&M projects
New Delhi: Tata Power and Korea East-West Power (EWP) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for undertaking projects related to operation and maintenance opportunities in power generation units in Asia, the Gulf region and Africa.
Under the MoU, both firms will offer technical cooperation in the field of operation and maintenance (O & M) of power generation assets.
It will enable exchange of technical cooperation with Korea East-West Power Company.
Tata Power Services Group is a new business company which offers O & M, project management and other related services to domestic clients and aims to further expand this business in the domestic and overseas markets.
The Tata Group firm has signed a contract with OPG Power Generation for providing O & M services for OPG's 1 x 80 MW of coal-based thermal power plant situated at Gummidipoondi, Chennai and is scheduled to be commissioned shortly.
