The government of Telangana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Akshat Greentech Private Limited, a group company of Mytrah Energy, to establish a cutting-edge solar cell and module manufacturing facility in the state.
The project will see the development of a 6.9 GW solar cells and 6.9 GW solar modules manufacturing unit in Hyderabad, with a proposed investment of ₹7,000 crore. The facility is expected to generate over 2,500 direct jobs, as per an official release.
The MoU was finalized during the World Economic Forum-2025 in Davos, with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his team in attendance. Akshat Greentech was represented by its Director, Girish Gelli.
This collaboration aligns with Telangana’s recently launched Clean and Green Energy Policy, aimed at fostering a sustainable energy ecosystem in the state. The government is committed to creating a conducive environment for renewable energy investments, providing robust infrastructure, single-window clearances, and a range of attractive incentives for businesses.
