Telangana attracted ₹3.25 lakh cr investments in 3 years: MSME Export Promotion Council.

Telangana has secured investment proposals worth ₹3.25 lakh crore over the past three years, according to a study conducted by the MSME Export Promotion Council (MSME EPC). During this period, the private sector announced new projects totaling ₹62,500 crore.

Investment proposals surged over the years, with ₹85,087 crore recorded in 2021-22, ₹1.33 lakh crore in 2022-23, and ₹1.06 lakh crore in 2023-24, MSME EPC Chairman D.S. Rawat said, citing data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE).

Rawat highlighted Telangana’s emergence as a key investment hub for both domestic and international investors. The findings were part of the second edition of the report, Investment, Development, and Growth in Progressive Telangana – Emerging Unlimited Opportunities, which aims to inform existing and potential investors about the State’s business prospects.

Telangana is home to approximately 2.6 million micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with 56% located in rural areas and 44% in urban regions.

The State also saw significant project completions, with investments worth ₹22,380 crore completed in 2021-22, ₹24,910 crore in 2022-23, and ₹2.70 lakh crore in 2023-24.

The industrial sector continues to contribute around 18% to Telangana’s Gross State Value Added (GVA), reaching 18.5% in 2023-24. Meanwhile, the services sector, the primary driver of economic growth, registered a 14.6% increase in GVA during the same period.
