Telangana CM Approves ₹1,000 Crore for Osmania University Revamp.

The Telangana government has approved ₹1,000 crore for the infrastructure development of the historic Osmania University (OU) in Hyderabad.

Announcing the funding during a meeting with faculty and students on Wednesday, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the government aims to help OU achieve global standards in both infrastructure and academic excellence.

Highlighting the university’s role in the Telangana Movement, the Chief Minister praised the contributions and sacrifices of OU students, noting that the institution played a leading role in the final phase of the movement that culminated in the state’s formation in 2014.
