US Varsity Keen on 2 Centres in State.

University of California, Berkeley, has written to chief secretary I Y R Krishna Rao, expressing its interest in setting up two research centres in agriculture and basic sciences. The chief secretary received a letter to this effect from the university.

The communication referred to a discussion between the university and Intelligence chief A B Venkateswara Rao. The university said the initiative would be an opportunity for it to share its knowledge in research and that it was ready to have further discussions with the AP government on evolving an organisational structure and guidelines, an official press release said recently.
