As the Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit 2023 entered its second day in the United Arab Emirates, a delegation from the Uttarakhand Government engaged in fruitful discussions with various industry groups in Abu Dhabi. On this day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami was present to oversee the signing of investment Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) valued at Rs. 3,550 crore between the state government and several key entities.
Among the significant agreements, a sum of Rs. 1,000 crore was allocated for the real estate sector in partnership with the Lulu Group, while Rs. 500 crore was committed for investments in the hospitality sector in collaboration with Hyper Market. Additionally, Rs. 250 crore was earmarked for the development of a food park in collaboration with ACT Facilities Middle East.
These MoUs also encompassed agreements worth Rs. 1,500 crore with East for investments in the hospitality sector and Rs. 300 crore with Regent Global for investments in the pharmaceutical sector. Notably, the first day of the UAE tour witnessed the signing of investment MoUs worth Rs. 11,925 crore in the presence of Chief Minister Dhami. This culminated in an impressive total of Rs. 15,475 crore worth of investment MoUs inked in the UAE.
Chief Minister Dhami organized a compelling roadshow in Dubai, as part of the 'Invest in Uttarakhand' campaign. During his address, he emphasized the immense potential for investment in Uttarakhand and highlighted the extensive developments in religious, spiritual, and adventure tourism. These developments were realized through the construction of roads, railways, and ropeways in Uttarakhand under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Dhami shared that the state government has worked diligently to create an investor-friendly environment in Uttarakhand by simplifying and streamlining the investment process. As an open invitation to all potential investors, he extended an invitation to the 'Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023,' scheduled to take place in Dehradun in December.
Dhami also invited all industrial organizations to participate in the summit, which will be hosted in Dehradun on the 8th and 9th of December. This initiative seeks to foster greater collaboration and investment in the state of Uttarakhand, unlocking its potential for economic growth and development.
