Virbhadra Singh announces development projects worth Rs. 27 crore.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has announced a slew of developmental projects entailing an expenditure of Rs.27 crore for Sirmaur district, including setting up of a mini-secretariat in Rajgarh town.

During a visit to the town on this weekend, he also laid the foundation stone of a water supply scheme apart from inaugurating a building of the Government Degree College, an official statement said.

The Chief Minister also announced introduction of science classes at the Rajgarh College from this session.

Addressing a public meeting at Rajgarh that falls in Pachhad Assembly segment, he directed the Education Department to deploy science lecturers at the college.

He said a skill development allowance scheme with an outlay of Rs.500 crore has been launched in the State to provide training to the unemployed youths in vocational courses. Under the scheme that entails an expenditure of Rs.100 crore this year, more than 1.07 lakh people have so far benefited.
