"Visakhapatnam Port Inks Agreement for Berth Development"

The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has recently signed an agreement for the semi-mechanization of the WQ-6 berth, situated in the northern arm of the inner harbor at the port. This agreement marks a significant milestone in the 'Revamping of existing West Quay - 6 (WQ-6) Terminal' project, which is geared towards enhancing the handling capacity for various types of dry bulk cargo.

Integrated Cargo Terminal Private Limited, a subsidiary Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Orissa Stevedores Limited, has been appointed as the concessionaire for this Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project.
