WCIL Wins ₹139-Crore Logistics Contract from Vedanta.

Western Carriers (India) Ltd (WCIL) has been awarded a ₹139-crore material handling contract by Vedanta Ltd for its Jharsuguda plant. The four-year agreement includes handling imports, finished goods for domestic markets, and export operations.

Kanishka Sethia, CEO of WCIL, highlighted that this partnership reinforces their relationship with Vedanta and could open doors to further collaborations in the mining and minerals sector. The contract also marks a significant milestone in expanding WCIL's industrial logistics operations.

Founded in 1972, WCIL specialises in rail-focused, asset-light supply chain solutions. The Kolkata-based firm operates as a fourth-party logistics (4PL) provider, offering integrated services across road, rail, and sea/river transportation for domestic and international cargo.W
