World Bank to fund T&D projects in WB

There is a strong likelihood that a power transmission and distribution networking project in the State may be taken up with the help of World Bank at the estimated cost of Rs 800 crores.

A third party which would monitor the project has already visited Imphal and collected necessary information and data.

Power Department informed that the power infrastructure project which would be taken up with loan from World Bank may be initiated soon.

Most of the information sought by World Bank have been provided by the State Power Department.
