"GPT Infraprojects Secures Rs. 739-Crore Order from NHAI"

Kolkata's GPT Infraprojects Ltd. (GPT) has achieved a significant milestone by securing a substantial contract worth Rs. 739 crore from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The infrastructure firm proudly announced this achievement in a filing to the stock exchange.

The project at hand involves the construction of a four-lane Prayagraj Southern bypass situated on NH-19 in Uttar Pradesh. GPT Infraprojects emphasized that this contract is solely in the company's name and represents the largest single order ever received in its history.

GPT Infraprojects, with a presence in two key segments, namely infrastructure and sleeper, marked its entry into the infrastructure sector in 2004. In the sleeper segment, the company specializes in the manufacturing and supply of concrete sleepers for railways in both India and Africa.

With this latest addition, GPT's outstanding order book has seen a substantial boost, currently standing at approximately Rs. 2,838 crore. The total order inflow for the financial year 2024 has reached a remarkable figure of Rs. 1,019 crore, reflecting the company's commitment to expanding its presence and contributing to India's infrastructure development.
