KSH Group to enter logistics infra segment
Pune: Auto components manufacturing firm KSH Group will invest more than Rs 100 crore near Pune to enter logistics infrastructure segment.
KSH group, under the brandname KSH Distriparks, has already set up an inland container depot in Talegaon industrial park near Pune, which will eye the heavy investments happening in automobile sector in and around Pune region.
KSH Distriparks has so far invested Rs 40 crore to set up this depot while another Rs 60 would be poured over next two years to expand its present contrainer storage facility.
Speaking to reporters, KSG group chairman Kushal Hegde said, “The Talegaon-Chakan-Ranjangaon belt has attracted investments worth $ 2 billion over last three years. Hence, this region would generate excellent business opportunities and we expect our container depot to attract business immediately.”
The newly set up container depot can accomodate 2,000 containers at a time. “Huge volumes of cargo pass through Pune to Mumbai everyday.
The manufacturers avoid customs clearance in Pune due to bad infrastructure and other problems. We would ensure a better facility for cargo exporters to attract business in Pune,” Hegde added.
