UK-based ABB unit selects TCS solution

Mumbai: The UK unit of the ABB group has selected Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for carrying out its SAP ERP consolidation exercise.

TCS migrated ABB UK’s finance, human resource and operations will function into a single SAP ERP system as part of ABB's ‘One Simple ABB’ programme. The processes gives faster access to information, and sharing of best practice across divisions and business units.

Previously, the company’s 14 UK business units used eight ERP systems, built up through acquisitions and local implementations over a 20-year period.
