3 GW of Tata Renewable Energy Projects Delayed.
Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) is experiencing execution delays on several of its solar and wind power projects, totaling a significant 3.08 GW of capacity.
A majority of the affected projects are located in Karnataka, including 1.3 GW of solar projects under development in Koppal. Additionally, two wind power projects in Gadag, with a combined capacity of 540 MW, have been facing delays of nearly two-and-a-half years.
TPREL's delayed projects are not isolated incidents within the sector. According to a document from the Central Electricity Authority, numerous other renewable energy projects across the country are also facing holdups. The primary reasons cited for these delays typically involve challenges related to land acquisition and obtaining necessary right-of-way permissions.
