4-Lane Road to Enhance Connectivity in Patna.
A new four-lane highway connecting Kishanganj and Bahadurganj in Bihar is set to boost regional connectivity and economic growth. The Rs. 1,117-crore project, expected to start construction soon, will link NH-27 and NH-327E, improving travel and trade between the two areas.
The 23-km road will begin at North Rampur village in Kishanganj and end at Satal Ishtamarar village in Bahadurganj. Once completed, the highway will cut travel time from 45 minutes to just 20 minutes. The project is a key part of enhancing Bihar's infrastructure, said Road Construction Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha recently.
Sinha emphasized that the highway will be a vital link in the East-West corridor, connecting NH-327E (Araria - Galgalia) and NH-27 (Purnea - Muzaffarpur). The tender for the construction of the spur has been issued, with bids due by February 4.
The new road will also facilitate smoother travel to Bagdogra airport in Siliguri, creating new opportunities for both transportation and employment in the region.
Sinha noted that the project will significantly boost regional development, making travel easier for residents and fostering economic growth throughout the state.
