ABB wins UAE substation contract

Dubai: Power and automation technology group ABB said it has been awarded a $104m contract by the UAE's Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) to supply substations to help increase power supplies in the northern areas of the country to meet a growing demand for electricity.

The company said it will supply, deliver, install and commission five new 132 kilovolt substations, and expand an existing one.
