ABD Inaugurates ₹115 Crore PET Bottle Plant in Telangana with 600 Million Annual Capacity.
Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd. (ABD) has inaugurated a state-of-the-art PET bottle manufacturing facility at its integrated manufacturing complex in Rangapur, Telangana. With an annual production capacity of over 600 million bottles, the facility is set to significantly enhance ABD’s packaging capabilities and supply chain efficiency.
Developed at an investment of around ₹115 crore, the new plant enables in-house production of PET bottles, reducing the company's dependence on external suppliers, cutting down on logistics costs, and boosting overall profitability.
The facility is part of Telangana’s largest integrated alcobev complex, which already includes an Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) distillery, an IMFL bottling unit, and the upcoming Single Malt plant. The PET plant features advanced automation, robotics-based packaging systems, Japanese energy-efficient equipment, and built-in recycling technology — underlining ABD’s focus on sustainability and efficiency.
“This new PET facility at Rangapur reflects our integrated approach to manufacturing,” said Alok Gupta, Managing Director of ABD. “By leveraging existing land and infrastructure, we’ve kept costs low, accelerated execution, and minimized environmental impact. The facility gives us greater control over packaging, strengthens support for our portfolio, and improves efficiency.”
ABD is among India’s leading alco-bev companies, known for flagship brands like Officer’s Choice, and is expanding aggressively across domestic and export markets.
