ABW wins lease rights to develop vacant Railway land
New Delhi: ABW Infrastructure has won the lease rights for 90 years to develop 11 hectares of vacant Railway land at Sarai Rohilla in Delhi.
“Sarai Rohilla becomes the first piece of Railway surplus land to be given away to private developer for the commercial development after the formation of Rail Land Development Authority,” a senior Railway Ministry official said.
Though private developer ABW Infrastructure had emerged as the highest bidder after quoting Rs 1,026 crore for commercial development of surplus land at Sarai Rohilla, the Railway Ministry had earlier stalled the contract raising objections to the 90-year lease period. A review committee has now cleared the matter.
