Acer, Dell, and HP Secure Laptop Supply Contracts from Tamil Nadu Government.

Leading laptop manufacturers Acer, Dell, and HP have been selected as the major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to supply ten lakh laptops to the Tamil Nadu government under its free laptop distribution scheme.

According to sources, the laptops are expected to be distributed to college students either later this month or in December.

The State government has planned to distribute a total of 20 lakh laptops over the next two years, with an initial allocation of around ₹2,000 crore for the programme, the sources added.
